Genevieve Diaz’s career is defined by her deep-rooted foundation in discipline, technical excellence and mission-oriented leadership. Her journey began with over four years of service in the U.S. Army as a test measurement diagnostic equipment calibration technician, where she was responsible for maintaining the readiness of more than 9,000 pieces of mission-critical gear across 190 companies. Operating at a remarkable 98 percent readiness rate, Genevieve honed her skills in precision calibration and leading in challenging conditions.

Her responsibilities expanded further when she took on the role of operations section leader, overseeing the welfare and performance of over 300 individuals, including U.S. Army soldiers, Korean augmentees (KATUSAs), government employees and contractors. This phase of her career sharpened her ability to manage large-scale operations and build collaborative, high-performing teams, a trait that continues to define her leadership approach today.

The role gave her hands-on experience in performing calibrations and quality checks on a wide array of measurement instruments, laying the groundwork for her future roles in complex technical environments.

Genevieve’s most significant professional impact has taken shape at Tesla, where she’s been a driving force since 2014. Starting as a project manager, she quickly demonstrated her operational and analytical strengths, implementing strategic sourcing changes that reduced part costs by 53 percent and saved $2.6 million annually. She played a key role in aligning design, supply chain and production teams to meet fast-paced manufacturing and quality demands.

Now serving as instrumentation calibration and lab operations manager, Genevieve developed in-house calibration protocols for 4,000+ instruments, including accelerometers, torque tools and data acquisition systems.

Beyond her technical expertise, Genevieve champions collaboration. Her team supports the Fremont facility and coordinates with global test operations to ensure standardization and efficiency.
