Jim Gordon, Managing DirectorBringing comprehensive solutions in the packaging landscape is Mexico City-based ISP Latinoamérica. The packaging company specializes in case handling and downstream packaging systems for beverage, personal care, pharmaceutical and Fresh Cut production lines.
ISP’s managing director, Jim Gordon, has built the company around delivering customized equipment fitting specific production requirements. The company’s extensive inventory allows it to be a single partner for sale and distribution of new or rehabilitated equipment delivered within 4 to 8 weeks, alongside machinery modification, systems integration, parts manufacture and ongoing maintenance.“We don’t sell widgets; we sell custom engineering and fabrication solutions every day,” says Gordon.
ISP’s clients include Fortune 50 companies and major manufacturers such as Anheuser-Busch, José Cuervo, and Owens-Illinois. The company’s machine portfolio ranges from case packing, palletizing, depalletizing and fresh cut to conveyors, multipackers, accumulation and labeling systems.
Alongside fresh builds, ISP modifies older assets for new applications through mechanical, electrical and pneumatic upgrades, change parts, training and documentation. It also provides corrective maintenance and machine overhauls across different equipment brands. ISP understands each application can introduce unfamiliar technical requirements, requiring modifications specific to the production line. Instead of asking customers to adapt to standardized machinery, ISP customizes equipment to the application at hand.
Emory Gordon, Marketing Manager at ISP, describes, “Everything we do is customized and different depending on the client.”
From new to revamped equipment, behind every service that ISP offers is an unwavering commitment to quality. Any employee can stop production if he believes something is not ready. Quality is treated as the foundation of execution and not just a final inspection step.
Supporting the Line beyond Installation
Once equipment is installed, ISP remains involved as the line begins operating. Its local presence in Mexico, Brazil and other Latin American markets allows its teams to support equipment through installation, commissioning, fine-tuning and ongoing service.
“After a machine is put into a line, it has to be fine-tuned and tweaked when production starts. That is the sensible part of every project, and that is where we make a difference,” says Mathias Goertz, ISP’s General Manager.

ISP also manufactures replacement parts and wear-parts, including parts for machines whose original manufacturers may have either discontinued the series or have long lead times. This helps customers continue operating and maintaining assets that might otherwise become non-functional.
The model has produced measurable results. A major liquor manufacturer in Mexico faced a compressed deadline to invest in a packaging line. Rather than sourcing new machinery, ISP identified and modified previously unused equipment and configured it to handle more than 10 and fewer than 20 different products. ISP implemented the solution in 60 days, compared with a 12-month timeline offered by a competitor. The solution also reduced equipment acquisition costs and provided the client with stronger post-implementation support.
ISP has also developed its first original solution, the Flap Folder. Created for glasshouses, it automates the closing of four cardboard box flaps, ensuring a uniform, secure, and professional end product.
The evolution marks only the beginning. Moving forward, ISP’s vision is to expand into other Latin American regions and the United States. From there, the company aims to move from being a net importer into Mexico to a net exporter to the U.S. It is also expanding recurring-service models through monthly maintenance agreements, inventory arrangements, leasing and financing options.
ISP’s journey reflects the importance of combining customized engineering with local integration and lifecycle support. Throughout the journey, the company has exhibited its staunch commitment to quality. ISP Latinoamérica’s recognition as the Top Packaging Machinery Solution in Latin America 2026 highlights its ability to deliver equipment that heavy packaging lines at large manufacturing units can rely on.
