Every torque tool carries a simple expectation: when it clicks, shuts off or reaches its target, the torque needs to be right. When it is not, the consequences can range from rework and warranty claims to safety concerns and liability.

That is the solution Team Torque has focused on for more than three decades.

“We alleviate torque anxieties,” says Mark Anderson, president and CEO. “Our customers need confidence that their tools are accurate, documented and back in service fast.”

Speed has been part of the company’s identity from the beginning. Years ago, Anderson sent a torque wrench out for calibration and waited six to 12 weeks to get it back. That experience shaped Team Torques approach: customers should not have to choose between accurate calibration and keeping their operation moving.

Today, Team Torque promotes a one-day turnaround and works to be among the fastest torque calibration providers in the industry while maintaining its ISO/IEC 17025 quality standards.

Its accredited capabilities cover nearly every category of torque equipment, from small inch-ounce tools to equipment reaching 20,000 ft-lb. Team Torque services click and digital torque wrenches, testers, transducers, pneumatic and battery-powered tools, hydraulic equipment, and other torque systems used across manufacturing, transportation, automotive service, heavy equipment, EV, aerospace, aviation and defense.

When a tool needs more than calibration, Team Torque can also repair it. As an authorized service center for Snap-on, CDI, Enerpac and TorcUP, the company can repair, calibrate and test equipment to help return it to specification.

Customers can send tools directly to Team Torque or bring the lab to their facility through on-site calibration service. For companies with large tool populations, multiple locations or equipment that cannot easily leave the facility, on-site service can reduce downtime and keep operations moving.

Team Torque also manages recurring calibration programs. The company tracks when tools are due, communicates upcoming service needs and helps customers maintain access to calibration records. That visibility can extend from a single shop to multiple facilities across a national organization.

But Team Torque does not begin by selling a standard program. It begins by asking questions.

  • We alleviate torque anxieties by making sure tools are accurate, documented, and back in service fast.

Where is the customer losing time? Which tools are difficult to take out of service? Is documentation hard to manage? Are multiple locations following different processes? Is turnaround creating operational problems?

From there, Team Torque builds the service around the customers’ actual pain points.

That approach has created relationships measured in decades. Some customers have relied on Team Torque for 20 to 30 years. One national automotive service organization with hundreds of locations has worked with the company for more than two decades. Team Torque supports the program with calibration services, process guidance and performance tracking, including turnaround time.

For Anderson, growth has not changed the company’s focus. Team Torque started as a small regional calibration lab 33 years ago. Today it serves customers throughout North America and around the world, but its specialization remains intentionally narrow.

“We are not trying to be everything to everybody,” Anderson says. “Torque is our hedgehog. It is what we know, what we care about and what we intend to be the best at.”

That specialization combined with speed, accredited quality and long-term customer support is what Team Torque believes gives customers something more valuable than a calibration certificate: confidence that when their torque tools go back to work, they are ready.
